Dear Parents of Florence Youth Football:

 On Monday, August 12th we will be distributing football equipment to all players. It is VERY IMPORTANT that your child attends this uniform/equipment fitting to ensure their safety and that they receive the proper items for this season.

 If they cannot attend for any reason, it is up to you to contact the head coach to let them know ASAP.

 Please bring with you a copy of the uniform contract signed completely. No equipment will be issued until this contract is signed and returned!

 All players/parents should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of their equipment fitting at the Concession Stand. We want to fit all players as quickly and efficiently as possible.

FTFA Uniform Managers

FOOTBALL:  All practices for 8/1/13 have been postponed due to the weather until tomorrow, Friday, August 2, 2013. 

CHEER: The mandatory parent meeting will be held inside the municipal building tonight, 8/1/13 at 6:00 pm.

Football practice begins August 1st at 6:00 pm. All players should report to the Veteran’s Park Football Field, located behind the MunicipalBuilding, in shorts/tshirts/cleats (if available) and bring a water bottle or sports drink.  You may want to spray your child with bug spray and/or sunscreen before practice.   

The concession stand will be open with limited supplies of beverages and non-perishable snacks.  Players are not permitted to purchase food prior to practices but can buy a water or powerade. 

Cheer will hold a mandatory parent meeting at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 1st behind the municipal bldg.  First practices will begin on Monday, August 5th.

If anyone has gently used football cleats they wish to donate to the organization, we are happy to accept donations for members of our program. Cleats should be dropped off at the concession stand.  We are very grateful for you kindness!  

All fundraiser buy-outs or orders should be turned in to the Concession Stand in a sealed envelope with the player’s name, team, and Head Coach.  Checks should always be made payable to the FTFA.  Please do not hand things to your football coach during practice! We will collect the items at the stand and give them to the appropriate person. 

Dear FTFA Parents:

As you may or may not be aware, the Florence Twp. Football Association is no longer affiliated with Pop Warner but is now part of the West Jersey Football League. Under this new league guidelines the players and cheerleaders are no longer required to submit medical forms prior to the August 1st practice date.

Rather, on Saturday, September 7th during the 1x weigh-in (site TBD), football players will be required to submit 1) a copy of their birth certificate and  2) a signed parent/player contract (which will be handed out during the 1st week of practice). Please note…medical forms are NO longer needed at this time.

More detailed information will be disseminated at the beginning of the season however for those of you who have been scheduling your child’s medical examination with the thought that it will soon be due, you are no longer required to do so.

 The FTFA Board has made some BIG changes and have officially entered the West Jersey Youth Football League.  We are no longer a Pop Warner football program.

Florence Youth Football & Cheer Registrations are still being accepted.

Walk in registration dates are:

Saturday, April 9th and May 6th from 9-12 pm at the Football Concession Stand at Veteran’s Park (located behind the Municipal Bldg). 

Be one of the first 20 to sign up and receive a Flashes cup and concession stand gift certificate.

All football practices begin on August 1, 2013.

60lb Football Age 5-6 (As Of Sept. 1)

80lb Football Division

110lb Football Age 11-12 (As Of Sept. 1)

130lb Football Division
130lb Football Age 13-14 (As Of Sept. 1)
